About
We got our start by offering some of the comforts of home to the men and women of the US. Military deployed at bases overseas and in areas of conflict. Our cafes offer a casual and comfortable place where our customers can enjoy premium coffee beverages and fresh-baked treats while relaxing and listening to music.
In response to customer requests, Green Beans Coffee is now expanding its footprint in the U.S. market and around the world by offering its super premium coffee products, fresh baked goods, and healthy meal options in airports, metropolitan cities, and suburban communities.
Founded
Green Beans Coffee Company was founded in 1996, by Jason and Jon Araghi, two Americans living in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, who saw the opportunity to introduce gourmet coffee in the country and fill the void in an underserved market. The first Green Beans Coffee Cafe on a U.S. Army base opened the following year in Eskan Village, in Al-Kharj Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Our Coffee
We serve our customers coffee made from the highest quality Arabica coffee beans, fresh roasted in the artisan European style. Our eight proprietary blends are packaged for sale on our website, at retail stores and in many of our cafes.
Cafes
Green Beans Coffee owns and operates 70+ cafes in nine countries. All are located on or near military bases in the U.S., Iraq, Afghanistan, Kuwait, Qatar, Djibouti, and Kyrgyzstan. In addition to espresso-based drinks, we also serve teas, smoothies, fresh baked pastries, freshly prepared breakfast items and a wide assortment of wraps, sandwiches and soups for lunch. Twenty-thousand cups of coffee are served daily.
We Support
Corporate Social Responsibility is a key pillar of our company and we believe in giving back to our customers that serve in the U.S. military. Thus, we donate a portion of each transaction to organizations that are important to our men and women in uniform:
- Snowball Express - Creates hope and new memories for the children of our fallen military heroes who have died while serving on active duty since 9/11
- Children of the Fallen Soldiers - Provides college grants and financial assistance to surviving children and spouses of U.S. military service members who have lost their lives in the Iraq and Afghanistan wars.
Community
Through our CUP OF JOE FOR A JOE program, we make it easy for anyone, anywhere in the world, to buy a fresh cup of Green Beans Coffee and have it delivered with a personal letter of thanks to a member of the armed services deployed overseas in support of Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF). To date, more than 900,000 CUP OF JOES have been purchased for our deployed troops.
We also facilitate connections on our Facebook page between troops deployed overseas and their friends, family and other supporters who want to express their thanks for the troops' service and sacrifice (www.facebook.com/cupofjoeforajoe).
